Using a Projector
These instructions may vary slightly depending on your specific classroom.
- Turn the projector on using the projector remote (press the On button). In most classrooms the projector remote is white.
- Connect your computer using the HDMI cable attached to the wall. There is also an adapter attached to the HDMI cable for USB-C which is supported by most modern computers.
- If your computer screen is not displaying on the projection, press the Source button on the remote
- If you need sound, turn on the sound bar using the sound bar remote. In most classrooms the sound bar remote is black.
- There may be additional steps necessary in your operating system depending on your specific computer and settings.
Troubleshooting:
- If your computer screen is not showing on the projector, press the Source button on the projector remote to cycle through inputs.
- If you do not have sound, press the Input button once on the sound bar remote to cycle through the inputs. Press the button again after a few seconds to move to the next input.
- If you do not have sound, verify that your computer is sending sound to the projector over HDMI. On a Mac this is in System Settings - Sound in the Output area.
On Mac computers in some classrooms you may be able to use Airplay to project wirelessly. If your Airplay is not functioning as expected, use the steps above to connect with the HDMI cable.
